Creative movement is where a lifelong love of dance begins. Built for our very youngest dancers, these play-based classes use music, imagination, and games to develop coordination, balance, listening skills, and the joy of moving to a beat. There's no pressure to get it perfect — just a warm, gentle space to explore and have fun.
At Productions, creative movement serves ages roughly 1.5 through 6. Our Buddy and Me Dance class invites a caregiver and child (ages 1.5–3) to move together, while preschool and mini combos give slightly older children their first taste of ballet, tap, and more. It's the perfect low-pressure introduction to the studio, building confidence and social skills alongside those first dance steps. Structured, yet gentle and FUN.

Yes! Even our youngest students get to take part in our shows. Every class at Productions feeds into a performance, so little ones can experience the magic of the stage.
Perfectly okay. Creative movement is a play-based, no-pressure introduction to dance designed for total beginners. It's all about fun, imagination, and building confidence.
Comfortable clothes they can move in (no jeans or long dresses), hair pulled back, and no street shoes on the floor. Bare feet, ballet shoes, or jazz shoes all work.
In our Buddy and Me Dance class, yes — a caregiver dances alongside the child. Preschool and mini combos are a gentle first solo experience where children dance on their own.
These classes serve our youngest dancers, roughly ages 1.5 through 6. Buddy and Me Dance is for caregivers with children ages 1.5 to 3, and preschool/mini combos welcome children around ages 3 to 6.
