Dress Code 2024-2025 Season
Caretaker Classes
- Attire: All dancers should wear clothes that they can easily move in. No jeans or long dresses.
- Footwear: No street shoes. Acceptable footwear: barefeet, ballet shoes of any color, jazz shoes. For adults, socks are ok. For children, socks with grippers only, plain socks can be slippery.
Mini Bop & Hip Hop
- Hair:
- Students identifying as male: If falls long, secured away from the face.
- Students identifying as female: Pulled back away from the face, either in a ponytail, half ponytail, bun, or braid.
- No jewelry, except for small pierced ears studs
- Attire: All dancers should wear clothes that they can easily move in. No jeans or long dresses.
- Shoes: Clean Sneakers or High Tops. Shoes should not be used outside the dance studio once they’ve been cleaned.
Intro to Musical Theatre/Song
- Shoes: No street shoes allowed on the studio floor.
- Clothing, hair, and accessories should not be a distraction from the lesson. Consider no jewelry on class days, and keeping hair pulled away from the face.
Tap - Ages 7+
- Hair:
- Students identifying as male: If falls long, secured away from the face.
- Students identifying as female: Pulled back away from the face, either in a ponytail, half ponytail, bun, or braid.
- No jewelry, except for small pierced ears studs
- Attire: All dancers should wear clothes that they can easily move in. No long dresses. Pants should allow for visible ankles.
- Footwear: Tap shoes- any!
Students Identifying as Female - all other genres
Ages 3-6
- Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Tumbling:
- Hair: Cleanly pulled back in either a bun, pony tail, or braid. There should be no strands falling into the face.
- No jewelry, except for small pierced ears studs
- Attire: Option of Dance leotard, dance dresses, dance shorts/tops sets or leotards, unitards. Jazz pants, jazz leggings, jazz shorts, or tights are optional. Tutus and dance skirts are acceptable for ballet and tap.
- Footwear: With shoes- Either tights, thin socks, or nothing.
- Ballet: ballet slippers (if buying new: any shades of pink or nude, no laces).
- Jazz: jazz shoes (if buying new: black, no laces)
- Tap: tap shoes (if buying new: black no laces)
- Tumbling: jazz shoes or bare feet
Ages 7+
- Ballet:
- Hair: A clean, slick, ballet bun.
- No jewelry, except for small pierced ears studs
- Attire: leotard required (any color/style). Tights required (pink, nude, or white). Ballet skirts are acceptable, in any color.
- Footwear: any shade of pink or nude ballet slippers, with tights.
- Jazz, Musical Theatre Levels 1+, Modern all Levels, Acro all Levels:
- Hair: Cleanly pulled back in either a bun, pony tail, or braid. There should be no strands falling into the face.
- No jewelry, except for small pierced ears studs
- Attire: Option of leotard, dance dress, dance shorts/tops or unitards, no tights or convertible (aka able to roll up for bare feet)
- Footwear: With shoes- Either tights, thin socks, or nothing.
- Jazz: Jazz shoes any style (if buying new, black).
- Musical Theatre Levels 1+: Jazz shoes any style (if buying new, black)
- Modern all levels: bare feet
- Acro all levels: bare feet
Students Identifying as Male for all other genres
Ages 3-6
- Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Tumbling:
- Hair: If falls long, secured away from the face.
- No jewelry, except for small pierced ears studs.
- Attire: some text
- Option of Black jazz tights (leggings), black dance pants, or black dance shorts
- T-shirt
- Footwear: With shoes- Either tights, thin socks, or nothing.
- Ballet: ballet slippers (if buying new: white, no laces).
- Jazz: jazz shoes, (if buying new, black, no laces)
- Tap: tap shoes (if buying new, black no laces)
Ages 7+
- Ballet:
- Hair: If falls long, secured away from the face.
- No jewelry, except for small pierced ears studs.
- Black dance tights (leggings), dance belt for Levels 1+
- White t-shirt
- Socks: Thin white crew-length dance socks (no tube socks).
- White Ballet Slippers
- Jazz, Musical Theatre Levels 1+, Modern all Levels, Acro all Levels:
- Hair: If falls long, secured away from the face.
- No jewelry, except for small pierced ears studs.
- Option of Black jazz tights (leggings), black dance pants, or black dance shorts
- T-shirt
- Footwear: With shoes- Either tights, thin socks, or nothing.
- Jazz: Jazz shoes any style (if buying new, black).
- Musical Theater Levels 1+: Jazz shoes any style (if buying new, black)
- Modern all levels: bare feet

Adult Classes
- Attire: Wear clothing that allows for appropriate movement
- Shoes: Shoes that fit the genre. Reach out with questions
