Tumbling meets dance in acro classes for ages 4 to 17.

Acro dance blends the artistry of dance with the strength and control of acrobatics — think balances, rolls, limber work, and tumbling woven into choreography. It builds remarkable core strength, flexibility, body awareness, and fearlessness, and dancers love the thrill of mastering a new trick. Because it demands both power and grace, acro is a fantastic complement to jazz, contemporary, and ballet training.
At Productions, acro lives inside our combo classes, where dancers get a safe, structured introduction alongside jazz and contemporary. Our Primary and Pre-Primary Jazz/Acro combos, Mini Jazzing and Tumbling, and Youth Contemporary plus Acro combos serve dancers roughly ages 4 through 17. With careful spotting and a supportive environment, kids build strength and confidence one skill at a time.
Acro at Productions is taught within our combo classes, so dancers develop tumbling skills alongside dance technique. Dancers grow through these entry points by age:
As strength and control grow, dancers take on more advanced skills with careful, individualized spotting.

Absolutely. Acro skills are woven into choreography for our Winter Holiday Show and Spring Production, so dancers get to show off what they've built on stage.
Fitted dance clothes that move with the body — a leotard or snug shorts and top — and bare feet. Avoid baggy clothing, and secure hair away from the face.
Yes. Skills are taught progressively with careful spotting in a structured environment, so dancers build strength and control before advancing to harder tricks.
Acro combos begin around age 4 with our Pre-Primary Jazz/Acro and Mini Jazzing/Tumbling classes, and continue up through the teen years in Youth Contemporary plus Acro combos.
Acro combines dance choreography with acrobatic skills like balances, rolls, limber work, and tumbling. At Productions it's taught within our jazz and contemporary combo classes.
