About This Class
An exciting dance class designed for duos! Buddy and Me Dance is the perfect way to explore movement together. Games, songs, and movement introduce children to the magic of music & dance, incorporating fine and gross motor skill development, along with lessons in colors, numbers, shapes, and communication.
Opportunities to join Productions Dance's 2026 Nutcracker cast.
8 weeks, Thursdays 10 to 10:45am, October 15 through December 3 (no class on Thanksgiving).

Dress code
- Attire: Comfortable clothes your child can easily move in — no jeans or long dresses.
- Shoes: No street shoes on the studio floor. Bare feet, ballet shoes (any color), or jazz shoes all work well.
- Hair: Pulled back and out of the face.
- For caregivers in Buddy and Me: wear something you can move comfortably in, too.

Will these little dancers perform?
Yes! Even our youngest students get to take part in our shows. Every class at Productions feeds into a performance, so little ones can experience the magic of the stage.
My child has never danced before — is that okay?
Perfectly okay. Creative movement is a play-based, no-pressure introduction to dance designed for total beginners. It's all about fun, imagination, and building confidence.
What should my child wear? (creative movement)
Comfortable clothes they can move in (no jeans or long dresses), hair pulled back, and no street shoes on the floor. Bare feet, ballet shoes, or jazz shoes all work.
Does a parent stay in the class?
In our Buddy and Me Dance class, yes — a caregiver dances alongside the child. Preschool and mini combos are a gentle first solo experience where children dance on their own.
What age is creative movement for?
These classes serve our youngest dancers, roughly ages 1.5 through 6. Buddy and Me Dance is for caregivers with children ages 1.5 to 3, and preschool/mini combos welcome children around ages 3 to 6.
