What to expect
This is a Nutcracker for people who are new to the Nutcracker. A narrator walks the audience through the story, so nobody needs to know it beforehand, and the ballet is condensed from the full classic. The show runs an hour, with a 15-minute intermission. Productions Dance students do all the dancing. At this studio, kids don't just have recitals. They create shows, and this winter's show is Le Petit Nutcracker.
When the Big Dark settles in, a weekend matinee is somewhere bright to be.
