Will my child get to perform?
Yes! Every class at Productions feeds a larger show. Ballet dancers perform in our Winter Holiday Show and Spring Production, taking them from dancer to performer.
How does my dancer work up to pointe?
Pointe work comes after building strength and technique through Ballet Foundations, Ballet 2, and Ballet 3. Dancers enter our Pre-Pointe/Pointe track once they're ready, which the instructor assesses individually.
What shoes and attire are required?
Girls wear a leotard with pink or nude ballet slippers, plus tights for ages 7 and up; boys wear black tights or pants with a fitted top and ballet slippers. Hair is pulled back in a bun.
Does my child need experience to join?
No experience needed. Ballet Foundations is a true beginner class, and our combos introduce ballet in a gentle, play-based way. We welcome dancers of all levels.
What age can my child start ballet?
Ballet threads through our preschool and primary combo classes starting around age 3, and we even offer a Babywearing Ballet class for postpartum parents with their babies. Dedicated leveled ballet begins with Ballet Foundations for school-age dancers.
