New this year, check out Musical Theater camp, our broadway themed camp combining singing, acting, and dance!
We are also excited to offer our new Dance for Athletes camp, with a curriculum specifically designed to cross-train for athletes.
Our uniquely themed camps, like Under the Sea and Superheroes vs. Villains, offer more than just dance instruction across genres such as ballet, hip hop, and tap. They foster imagination, teamwork, and confidence as children engage in choreography and costume design, culminating in a performance that showcases their achievements. These camps sell out every year, so don't delay!
Our Musical Theatre 1 program is designed for ages 10 and up, blending ballet, jazz, acting, and singing into an immersive Broadway experience. No prior dance experience? No problem! Our program welcomes beginners and seasoned performers alike, culminating in a vibrant spring performance. Dive into the world of musical theatre, study various Broadway shows, and enjoy outings to live performances.
Please also extend a warm welcome to Megan MacDonald, our passionate music educator. Megan currently works with our musical theatre students, and pulls from a vast history of personal, professional, and academic knowledge of music.
Good grief! The holidays are here again, and Charlie Brown is facing festive chaos like never before. Come watch "It's the Holidays Again, Charlie Brown", our second annual Fall Production, on Sunday - December 15th at 1pm.
This original show blends musical theater, ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop to reimagine the beloved Peanuts holiday specials in a way that's fun for the whole family.
We hope to see you all at the Meadowbrook Community Center on December 15th for a fun-filled performance featuring all your favorite Peanuts characters.
My daughter had an amazing time at camp. She was very hesitant to try a new camp but Katlin and the staff there were just wonderful and put her at ease. She even participated in the final dance performance, something she has never done before!
We loved this dance camp. Both my boys attended the dance camp in Ballard and then again in Lake City. Worth the drive from magnolia. My kids still dress up in the props they made in class and have a zest for dance. I can’t recommend this place enough.
Katlin's creativity and dedication to dance education elevated our production quality and the student's technique while she was on faculty here. Wherever Katlin ends up teaching, the community will be better for it.
Summer Camps are in full swing! We've been Under the Sea, Into the Jungle, and Superheroes and Villains have dance battled! Mythical Magical worlds, Broadway Songs, Breaking, and Athletic cross training are some of the fun summer camp themes still ahead!
In June we wrapped up our Year 2 with "Storytime", a beautiful production I had the pleasure to write/design and direct. The PDPA family is full of talented dancers and singers, of all ages! I particularly enjoyed the "Alice in Wonderland" routine, performed by my adult jazz class. It was really fun being in the North Seattle College's theater! Our 2025 Holiday show is set to take place at the same venue.
Year 3 is quickly approaching and registration for classes are now open! The 2025-2026 season will run September-June. The fall will be full of fun as we groove into Halloween season- PDPA's favorite time of year! Our members-only Halloween party is always a blast! 2025 will round off with a fun Holiday Production, and in the Spring, while learning and growing, we'll be preparing for our Peter Pan themed production.
I'm excited to announce that PDPA will be partnering with Seattle Parks and Recreation starting in the Fall 2025! Our instructors will be offering 8-week sessions at the Magnusson Community Center. Each session will commence with a show case performance. See our schedule for information on these classes as well.
Enjoy the Sunshine! We'll see you in the studio soon.
Peace, Love, & Dance
-Katlin
We would love to talk with you about how we can bring more dance into you and your children's lives.
